November 2018 Scottish Squash Newsletter

It’s awards season for sport and Scottish Squash have been recognised with Dave Sturman, Bob Easson and Georgia Adderley all picking up gongs.

Dave and Bob claimed awards for their services to squash at a sportscotland awards ceremony whilst Georgia was crowned SW/S Young Sportwoman of the Year.

Scottish Squash started taking their Performance Programme on tour this month (November) with the first event held at Lockerbie Squash Club.

The Programme Roadshow brings our coaching philosophy direct to clubs with National Coach Paul Bell leading an educational and fun day alongside performance players.

This month also saw David Fallon, National Lead for Sport Development, take part in a Sports Governing Body discussion panel at the 2018 LEAP Sports Scotland Conference where he showcased our inclusion strategy and Utility Bidder came on board as a partner of Scottish Squash.

We spoke to Alasdair Prott as he eyes up a fourth JC Lindsay Scottish Junior Open title in Edinburgh at the end of the year and Scottish Squash hit the airwaves thanks to a new bespoke podcast.
