iPROSPORTS British National Masters Squash Championship 2022

The British National Masters Championships gets underway between 9-13 February at the Nottingham Squash and Rackets Club, featuring 10 of Scotland’s top over 35 players. The Scottish entrants for the tournament include; Richard Campbell (Over 45), Keith Murray (Over 60), Robin Ridley (Over 65), , Emilio Fazzi (Over 70), Alastair McMeckan (Over 70), Ian Ross (Over 70), Alex Sinclair (Over 70), Ken Reid (Over 75), Fiona McLean (Over 55) and Eunice Bond (Over 65).

Fiona McLean said: “I have played in the British Masters many times in Manchester. I’ve been in a few semi-finals and even made a couple of finals but sadly I’ve always come second!

This year I find myself top seed as my “old” adversary, Mandy Atkin, is injured and unable to play. The draw is still very strong so I’m training hard at my club, Nuffield Health and Fitness in Newbury. The aim is to keep fit, healthy and injury free to give myself the best chance to do well.

If I can manage that, I hope to play in the European Championships in Edinburgh in June and the World Championships in Poland later in the year.”

Organised by England Squash Masters, The British National Masters Squash Championships are thenational squash championships for senior players from the United Kingdom & Ireland, held annually in February in Nottingham.
