Scottish Senior National Championships – Date Change

Scottish Squash can confirm a change to the planned 2022 competition calendar in relation to the Scottish Senior National Championships which was scheduled to take place between the 18 – 20 March at Edinburgh Sports Club.

Due to scheduling conflicts with recently added Professional Squash Association (PSA) events we have reached the decision to reschedule the upcoming Scottish Senior National Championships.  This competition will now take place at Edinburgh Sports Club between the 10th-12th of June 2022. We recognise the difficult period it has been for professional athletes in Scotland and that has continued into 2022 with further large PSA events being cancelled in January/ February. This knock-on impact has resulted from the pandemic and continued challenges through 2021. Given the circumstances we want to be flexible with our Championships date for PSA athletes not to miss out on important competitions and opportunities to compete for world ranking points during March, April and May.

To continue to provide domestic competition opportunity within Scotland the 19th – 20th March will now feature the rearranged Bridge of Allan Senior Gold sanctioned competition which was previously postponed in January 2022. Entries for this competition are now being accepted through SportyHQ by clicking here.
