Premier Squash League – Hosting Opportunity

Premier Squash League (PSL) is the UK’s premier club-based league organised by England Squash aiming to offer regular professional level squash in local clubs across the UK.

Alba Storm are Scotland’s premier squash team which compete in the league. The team is led by Scottish Squash and was established as a result of the partnership between the Springfield PLC and the sports governing body. Alba Storm was created to accelerate and enhance the development of squash in Scotland by providing an elite, world class competition programme for senior performance players.

Season 2022/23

The competition is comprised of a single division of seven teams, who play each other on a home or away basis – thus six rounds/matches to complete the season.

The seven teams making up the 2022/23 league are:

  •  Alba Storm
  • Birmingham
  • Crawley
  • Nottingham
  • Pontefract
  • RAC
  • St George’s

Fixtures are played on a Tuesday evening (starting at approx. 18:30) between October 2022 – April 2023. A tie consists of four players from each team (two women and two men) who will play one match each.

At the end of the season the team at the top of the table will be the PSL Champions. The top five teams in the table will form the Premiership for the 2023/24 season, the bottom two teams will be in the Championship alongside new entrants.
