The final proved to be a hotly contested encounter, with both players looking to assert their style of play upon
the contest. Despite some outrageous stroke play from Adderley, Gadsby’s short game proved the separating factor; claiming the match in four games to retain Sterling Trucks Scottish Nationals 16 - Winners Presentation 1 the title.

The initial rounds of the Men’s event provided plenty of drama with Peter O’Hara’s 11/4, 8/11,
11/5, 9/11, 11/7 victory over Richard Hollins and Michael Ross’ 11/13, 11/6,
12/14, 11/9, 11/5 win over Craig Valente-Wallace two of the highlights. Alan Clyne Vs Greg Lobban - Scottish Nationals 16

Some of the world’s finest players went toe-to-toe, and the form book proved true to form as top seeds Alan Clyne
and Greg Lobban secured a finals clash, while Kevin Moran and Rory Stewart earned a place Alan Clyne Vs Greg Lobban - Scottish Nationals 16 1 in the third placed playoff.

In front of a packed show court it was Clyne who size the advantage, utilising all his speed, after an extremely tight first game. The world number 33 was able to keep his nose ahead of Lobban throughout the remainder of the contest to win his 6th Scottish National.
