Seeding Information (please read carefully)

The JC Lindsay Scottish Junior Open is a European Squash Federation (ESF) Junior Circuit sanctioned competition and therefore, is required to follow the ESF Junior Circuit Guidelines. A copy of these guidelines is available on the ESF website. This guidance sets out the approach that is taken when seeding players in each of the categories. Player seeding for this year’s competition has been based on the ESF Junior Rankings published on the 8th December 2024. In nearly all cases, there is no deviation from these rankings, apart from certain special cases.

As an organiser of an ESF Junior Circuit sanctioned competition, Scottish Squash can request for a ‘special case’ to be considered by the ESF Junior Seeding Panel. This can consider seeding a non-European player differently than the player’s ranking. The ‘special case’ may be based on the results of these players in major events such as the British Junior Open or the World Junior Championships. Special cases have therefore been identified by Scottish Squash and reviewed by ESF.

A copy of players’ first match times will be available here in December 2024

Draws

The draws for the 2024 JC Lindsay Scottish Junior Open will be released on 27th December 2024, as per the ESF Tournament Guidelines.
