TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS

1. The events will be conducted under the rules of the W.S.F.
2. Entries must be submitted on the official Entry Form, and received not later than the closing date. Entries must be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee. Cheques should be made payable to “ESSA Squash”. Entry will be confirmed by Email return of the draw, on confirmation of receipt of funds.
3. Competitors may enter only one grade.
4. All matches will be played on the courts at the nominated venue unless specified otherwise by the organiser. Entrants may be required to play more than one match in each day and will be expected to referee matches during the tournament.
5. All matches must be played at the time fixed by the Tournament Organisers. If necessary, players may be called upon to play at an earlier time than stated on their copy of the draw, but notice will be given. The Tournament Organisers reserve the right to withdraw any competitor not on court within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time of their match.
6. Competitors sending a stamped self-addressed envelope will receive a copy of the draw. It is the responsibility of all competitors to find out their playing time. The draw will be Emailed if you supply an address – an acknowledge is required. Draw/results will be published also online: EssaSquash.co.uk and results in the local and national press.
7. Every competitor will sign in as a guest member of the venue club for the duration of the tournament, implicit in entering the competition.
8. Play will commence no earlier than 10:00 and finish later than 18:00 on Sat & Sun.
9. Plate events will be run for those beaten in the first matches of their events.
10. The tournament Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without giving any reason, and his/her decision will be final. An entrant may also be ejected from the tournament for transgressing condition 13.
11. There are prizes for the winner of each grade, the runner up and the plate winner. The Open & Ladies winner will receive cheques above £50.
12. Entries should be sent on the form to eastscotsquash@gmail.com with the completed form. Entry will not be confirmed until funds have cleared, your name appearing in the draw or not will acknowledge the acceptance of your entry. Please allow time in advance of the closing date for this to happen. The draw will be sent to you 3 days before the tournament, any revisions due to withdrawals etc will be notified before the play day.
13. The Scottish Squash “Code of Conduct” will apply to this tournament, a copy of which will be displayed on the Club notice board. Ranking points will be awarded based on game results submitted to Scottish Squash. Entrants must therefore be affiliated at club level with Scottish Squash & Racketball Limited.
14. The Dunlop Revelation Pro XX double yellow dot ball will be used throughout, unless both players agree to use a different ball which they supply.
