Level 1 Coach Education – Information Session
Coaching and coaches remain an integral part of the strategy to develop squash in Scotland and therefore, we’re pleased to announce some developments in this area in the aim to continue to help educate and develop coaches. Traditionally, coach education takes place in squash clubs/facilities or in group environments, however, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic we realise people that wish to engage and complete coach education courses may have to in a different way.
In order to support this, we’re pleased to announce that we have redesigned the delivery of the Level 1 coach education course to enable it to be delivered in an online/remote format. As well as supporting interested candidates to complete their Level 1 during the current restrictions, we also hope this will provide further help to our remote and Island based clubs and communities.
To help provide a better understanding of how the course will be delivered and the commitment expected from candidates we’re running an information session on Tuesday 16th February at 19:00. During the session we’ll share details of the course, delivery style and what is expected from candidates. Dates of specific Level 1 coach education courses will then be released shortly. The information session will be delivered using the Microsoft Teams platform.
Full details of our Level 1 coach education course can be found here.
Sign-up for the information session has now closed.
