Scottish Squash announces that Maggie Still will be stepping down from her role as CEO in October 2024. Maggie has played a pivotal role in transforming the organization since joining in 2015 during a challenging period for the sport.
Statement from Maggie Still
“I have loved my time working in Scotland. There are so many people I would like to thank who have given me so much support over the past nine years. The Scottish Squash Board and executive team have been wonderful. It has been an honour and a privilege to be part of the leadership team of a sport where athletes have won medals on the World, Commonwealth, and European stage. With the generous support of sportscotland, Commonwealth Games Scotland, EventScotland, and our wonderful sponsors, Sandy and Anne Adam at Springfield, we have delivered major events and raised the profile of Squash in Scotland. I am also proud of the impact we have had in inclusion and I am delighted with the impact we have had upon women and girls delivering in all aspects of leadership, performance and participation in squash.
“It has been a great time to be working in Scottish Squash, and with a pipeline of young talent and a strong network of clubs, the sport now needs someone to drive forward the next chapter for squash in Scotland. I will be taking up an opportunity with British Ice Skating, where I am looking forward to focusing on an exciting new role working with Scotland and the other Home Nations in a British context.
“Thank you to all staff and volunteers, too many to name, who have been so generous with their support over the years.”
