Martin Heath joins Squash Canada as High Performance Director

Elite Performance Coach Martin Heath has left his role at Scottish Squash to take up a newly created position at Squash Canada.

The six-time Scottish squash champion, now living in Canada, joins Squash Canada as High Performance Director and will take on the responsibility for the design, development, planning, and performance management of all Canadian Team programs and initiatives.

Martin joined the Scottish Squash coaching set-up in 2016 to work alongside national coach Paul Bell, with Scotland enjoying great success on the international stage during this time.

Scottish Squash CEO, Maggie Still, said: “Martin and his family are based in Canada so this is great for him.

“We are very grateful for the time he has given to Scottish Squash and the impact he has had on the players.

“Working closely with national coach Paul Bell, Martin helped secure bronze medals for both the men’s and women’s squads at the European Team Championships and also helped Alan (Clyne) and Greg (Lobban) to gold and silver medals at consecutive World Doubles Championships.

“We wish him well in his new role at Squash Canada.”
