October 2018 Scottish Squash News Round-Up

Georgia Adderley headlines our latest newsletter following her gold medal at the 2018 Dunlop British Junior Championships in Nottingham last weekend.

She beat England’s Alice Green in the GU19 final 11-4, 11-8, 5-11, 11-7 to secure her second British title.

Alasdair Prott won a bronze medal and there was a total of eight Scots who made the quarter-finals compared to three in 2017.

Meanwhile Scottish Squash signed a new kit deal with Total Teamware Ltd (TTL) which will see Scottish Squash affiliated regions and clubs receive a 25% discount on all Joma teamwear products supplied by TTL. Scottish Squash also launched their new online store where Joma products can be purchased.

October also saw some of our top Juniors ‘Live Like a Pro’ during Pro Experience Week whilst squash coaches and players will have free access to some bespoke resource materials through our Nailing The Basics online tool.

Strathgryffe squash player John Meehan made history becoming the first player from the club to win a European Junior title in Malmo, Sweden and Scotland’s no.1 male player Greg Lobban had a surprise for squash mad youngster Riley MacBean.
