Following the success of last years competition which took place between Oriam, Scotland’s Sports Performance Centre at Heriot-Watt Univeristy and Edinburgh Sports Club, we’re delighted to be partnering them again to deliver the 2019 championships. The two venues provide excellent facilities to compete in.
The competition will run from Saturday 28th December – Monday 30th December 2019.
Scottish Squash’s Director of Squash Paul Bell said: “The Scottish Junior Open is a rare opportunity for all the Scottish players to compete at such a high level on home soil. The competition is going from strength to strength each year with entry numbers continuing to grow. With the Scottish Junior Open running just before the Dunlop British Junior Open it provides a fantastic warm up ahead of arguably the most prestigious junior open on the calendar, which will hopefully encourage even more of the world’s top juniors to compete. Scotland is on the rise in terms of junior squash and the opportunity for our young players to test themselves against the worlds best will provide a great indicator of just how far they have come.”
The date between Christmas and New Year will allow players to travel to the UK to compete in the Scottish Junior Open prior to the Dunlop British Junior Open which takes place in Birmingham from 2nd – 6th January 2020.
