Scottish Juniors Set to Compete at the World Junior Championships
Scotland’s top junior squash players are preparing to take on the world as they head to Egypt for the 2025 World Junior Squash Championships this July. The prestigious event will see the world’s best young players battle it out on the global stage, with Scotland proudly represented by five rising stars. The tournament, hosted in 2025 at the iconic Black Ball Sporting Club in Cairo from 21st July to 1st August, is one of the biggest events on the junior squash calendar and in the last two years has featured Scottish players in Melbourne (2023) and Houston (2024).

Five Scottish Juniors are headed to Egypt in July
This year, Robyn McAlpine will make a third and final appearance at the World Juniors, competing in the individual event. In the Boys’ individual draw, Archie Turnbull, Murdo Mackenzie, Harrison Goss-Pastor, and Archie Niven will be hoping to make an impact. The four U19 boys are also set to contest the Team Championships in the second week of the event. This marks a particularly special moment for recently crowned 2025 Scottish U19 Champion Archie Turnbull, who will be making his international debut for Scotland.
Competing at this level requires significant financial support, and with Scottish Squash’s strategic priorities and current investment being aligned to preparing junior representative teams for European level competition, the squad is currently fundraising to help cover the costs of their trip. Any contributions to support these young athletes on their journey to Egypt would be greatly appreciated and fully supported by Scottish Squash.

Scottish Squash wishes the team the best of luck as they represent the nation on the world stage. Stay tuned for updates on their progress this summer!
