Sterling Trucks Scottish National Championships
The Sterling Trucks Scottish National Championships take place at Edinburgh Sports Club this weekend (Friday 1 – Sunday 3 March 2019). This seasons competition will see 32 men and 18 women compete to become 2019 national champion.
The men’s championship includes, world number 27 and world number 46, Greg Lobban and Alan Clyne, as well as further PSA registered players Stuart George and Rory Stewart.
In the ladies championship, Lisa Aitken (world number 43) and Alison Thomson (world number 74) will both compete alongside the British and Scottish National Junior Champion, Georgia Adderley.
Matches commence at 14:25 on Friday (1st March) and spectating is free for the duration of the event. Full draws can be found by clicking here and important matches have been detailed below.
Ladies Championship
Quarter finals – Saturday from 10:00; court 1 & 5
Semi-finals – Saturday from 14:00; court 5
Final – Sunday 15:15; court 5
Men’s Championship
Quarter finals – Saturday from 11:55; courts 1 & 5
Semi-finals – Saturday from 17:00; court 5
Final – Sunday 16:00; court 5
Coaches Workshop
On Sunday 3rd March from 10:00-11:30am, Scottish Squash will also be hosting a coach development workshop at Edinburgh Sports Club. The topic of the workshop will be, ‘developing players for the modern game’ and this will be delivered by our National Coach, Paul Bell and the wider performance department.
